New Gaming Console "Zeebo"

Yup that's what its called "Zeebo" a new gaming console which is yet to be released, it will be the first Brazilian gaming console, made by Tectoy and Qualcomm.

While I dont see how some people are labeling it as a competitor between the 7th generation of gaming consoles, such as X-Box 360, PS3, and Ninetendo Wii.

Zeebo is not in the same league as the big three in the gaming world. The console is going to be much cheaper then other platforms, which will be a great advantage because the target consumers are mainly Brazil, Russia, India, and China, in Brazil a PS3 is sold for around 1,100 $, while the Wii is for 1,000$. Games will only be available through a 3G wireless network for download. The console will be sold for around 199$ while games will be sold from around 5$ to 15$.

Zeebo's graphic quality is reminiscent of the PS1 days but with a little bit more detail in the surrounding environment, but in alot of games the quality of characters is very similar to those of PS1.

Basicly the console is a refreshed PS1, some of the games that will be availble on the system are Sonic Adventure, FIFA 09, Need for Speed Carbon, Prey, Crash Nitro Kart and Quake oh yea and they are ALL in Portuguese so am not so sure everyone will be interested in getting one of those.
